Each month, I team up with some of my blogging buddies for the How I Style It post--we all take one style idea and each put together an outfit based on it. For this month's theme, in honor of Halloween, we're doing Disney princess inspired outfits, which means I'm sharing a little more about my recent Disney vacation!
Top: Disney Store // Shorts: Lilly Pulitzer via 6pm.com // Necklace: J. Crew Factory (similar; matching earrings) // Watch: Kate Spade (similar) // Flip-Flops: Havianas // Sunglasses: Target // Mouse Ears: Disney Parks
So these photos are what happens when a fashion blogger goes to Disney and has the Memory Maker package at Disney.haha My favorite Disney princess is Ariel from The Little Mermaid. So I knew I wanted to do an Ariel-inspired look one day at Disney. This tee actually makes me think of a similar Little Mermaid tee that I had when I was little.
When doing a Disney princess inspired outfit, the key is to think about what are the elements of each princess? Here, I incorporated in iridescent jewelry, because there's something a little mystical about it. My Lilly Pulitzer shorts have seashells on them. My shoes and watch match the color of Ariel's mermaid tail. And because I was at Disney, I threw on some matching mouse ears:)
I styled another Littler Mermaid under the sea inspired look here. It's more everyday appropriate.haha
I had so much fun at Disney! If you're looking to take a Disney trip, check out Brooke Martin from Middle of the Magic Travel. Brooke helped us plan our trip, and her services were totally free. While I'm usually a control freak about planning a trip, I was soooo busy leading up to this one, and Brooke made everything stress-free and easy!
Be sure to check out everyone else's Disney princess inspired looks below!
