Black, White, and Off-the-Shoulder

I just can't get enough of the off-the-shoulder trend this season!  I've already shared a glam boho look featuring a lace off-the-shoulder top.  This trend is so fun and flirty for the hotter temperatures that are on their way.

High Five for Friday 04.22.16: Rainboots and Good Friends

TGIF, H54F-ers!!! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, and myself want to welcome you to the link-up and the weekend.  We made it!

This week's featured blogger is Nina from A World of Dresses, a fashion blogger from Cincinnati. I actually just met Nina in person for the first time, so you might recognize her from last week's H54F post. She has over 60 dresses in her closet, and her blog is about not only styling them, but the women behind the dresses as well. I love her post about how to style a navy dress. She was also recently in a wedding, and posted about the dresses of her friend's wedding--such a cute way to showcase wedding day fun!

Now, let's recap this week's highlights:

1. I've wanted some Hunter boots for quite a while, but I refuse to pay out for them. Well, yesterday the Clothes Mentor in Lexington got in a Tiffany blue pair.  Just in case there's any question, they're now sitting beside my front door!

2. I met a sweet friend for lunch at Malone's. She's an attorney and mom too, so we always have a lot to talk about.

3. Kane's daycare has a movie night to watch Zootopia. I took Kane to Chick-Fil-A before Chauncey got off work, then we met him at the movies. It was awesome because we were in a theater with the actual recliners for seats.  Kane was convinced to share his popcorn.  Zootopia was a really cute film!

4. Kane and I made a late night trip to eastern Kentucky after the movie. We got to see our family, and we even went out to eat on Saturday with my mom, my brother, and his girlfriend.  After some debate (on my brother's part, as I already KNEW where we were going), we headed out to Pig in a Poke. I even got to shoot an outfit with Della:)

5. Um, there was evidently lots of good food involved this week now that I'm looking back on it. I met up with Rynetta from J Crew Is My Fav Store on Monday night at Saul Good.  Of course I wore J. Crew that night!

Glam Boho Look

This post contains affiliate links.

Spring has arrived in Kentucky!  I was in eastern Kentucky on Saturday, and it was too pretty of a day to be in the house.  With the rise in temperatures, I was finally able to wear the latest trend--an off the shoulder top. This lace number is feminine and romantic, but fun too.  I'd had my eye out for this type of top for a while, but everything I was seeing was super expensive. Cue a trip to H&M, where I found this off the shoulder top for just under $10!!! It comes in multiple colors. . .I got a black one as well.  I don't like to spend a ton of money on trendy items, so H&M is one of the first places I look for those pieces.

$10 at Target : Fun Florals + Throw Pillows

Welcome to this week's $10 at Target linkup!  I've got two sets of finds for you today--I just can't resist the lure of Bulleye's Playground/the former One Spot.  My favorite time to shop Bulleye's Playground is at the beginning of each season, including holiday seasons.  It seems like the selection is always best then.  These are all recent finds from the last couple of weeks.

High Five for Friday 04.15.16: Long Walks and Good Deals

TGIF, H54F-ers!!! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, and myself want to welcome you to the link-up and the weekend.  We made it!

This week's featured blogger is Stefanie from Lexie Loo, Lily, Liam & Dylan Too, a mom and lifestyle blogger.  She just shared a recipe for paprika chicken & dumplins, and a cute post about one-on-one time with her daughter.  Also, check out her inspiring post about Life with Down Syndrome.

Now let's recap this week's highlights:

1. On Friday, Nina from A World of Dresses was in town, so we met up for lunch at Saul Good.  It was so nice to finally meet her.  We had a fun time chatting about anything and everything, and coincidentally, I went to law school with one of her old roommates--small world!

Striped Peplum Top for Spring

This post contains affiliate links.

Yay for warmer weather--bring on the bright colors, cropped pants, and short sleeves, please!  I picked up these tee on clearance for less than $6 at Nordstrom Rack when I was shopping with Nicole from What Nicole Wore.  As soon as I saw it, I knew that it would look great paired with some white jeans.  FYI--white jeans are back for the spring, although I don't know that they ever left. Mine are from last year, but I've linked some affordable options, both with rips and without, below so that you can get in on the trend.  The Rocksbox necklace and bracelet are fun pops of bling that I've enjoyed wearing since my latest box arrived (you can get all the details here). And the shoes are a Target clearance find for around $10!

Why I STILL Love Rocksbox

This post contains referral/affiliate links. Rocksbox allowed me to try their service for free. As always, all opinions are my own.

I wrote a post a few months ago all about Rocksbox and why I love the service.  Quick recap--it's a monthly subscription service and for $19 a month, you get a box with three pieces of designer jewelry to try out.  The designers include some of my favorites, like Kendra Scott, Loren Hope, and Perry Street. When you're done with a box, you can either (1) keep any of the pieces at the discounted price, plus any spend that you have to apply (I've gotten pieces for FREE this way) or (2) send back any or all of it.  Then you'll get a new box shipped to your door.  It's awesome for those of us who love trendy designer jewelry but hate the price.  You can even try Rocksbox out FREE for one month with code BRIGHTONABUDGETXOXO!!! I'm still loving my Rocksbox subscription, so I thought I'd share my latest two boxes with you.

This week's featured blogger is Tanya from The Other Side of the Road, a lifestyle blog. Tanya has been blogging for 12 YEARS and is actually celebrating her 2000th post today!!!  How awesome is that?!  She recently visited the Stephen F. Now let's recap this week's highlights:

1. The Blogger tee is now available to order! The Blogged Tee : How to Dress Up a Graphic Tee

This post contains affiliate links. And don't miss the GIVEAWAY at the end of this post for a $50 Nordstrom giftcard and a pair of Olive and Piper earrings!!!

Guys, I'm really excited to share my recent collaboration with Kentucky Brewed Tees with you!!! I've been rolling around the idea of a BLOGGER tee in my head for some time now.  I didn't want something that just said blogger.  I wanted it to be something fun and different.  So "Blogged." got stuck in my head, because when you're a blogger, just about everything in life is blogged.  Then I happened to mention the idea to Ben over at Kentucky Brewed Tees, and a tee was born (thanks, Ben!).

High Five for Friday 04.01.16: Easter Fun

TGIF, H54F-ers!!! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, and myself want to welcome you to the link-up and the weekend.  We made it!

This week's featured blogger is Beth from Our Pretty Little Girls, a lifestyle blog.  Beth homeschools her girls.  She recently shared an easy Tex-Mex Sloppy Joe recipe and another about Po Power Crunch Cereal Cookies, and I was really inspired by this post about how she fights depression.

***UPDATE***
I've been working on a special collaboration with Kentucky Brewed Tees and it's now live! Check it out here.

Now let's recap this week's highlights:

1.  Kane spent last week back home in eastern Kentucky with our parents, so I was super excited to see him last Saturday.  He kept yelling, "My momma home! My momma home!"  There's nothing sweeter than his little arms wrapping around my neck:)

2. We headed home for Easter last weekend, so Della and I took Raylan and Kane to an egg hunt at Della's church.  The boys had such a fun time playing on the inflatibles, hunting eggs, and eating pizza.  Kane kept pointing to his shirt and saying, "Dinosaur eat Easter Bunny."  You remember that Kane HATES the Easter Bunny, right?haha Problem solved--the dinosaur took care of it.
