Each month, I team up with some of my blogging buddies for the How I Style It series--we all take one style idea and each put together an outfit based on it. This month, the How I Style It girls have teamed up to give you spring florals. I keep thinking that if I dress like spring, maybe spring will actual follow. Maybe wearing florals in hopes of spring is the equivalent of a snow dance?
Top: Gray Monroe--Blaine Tee // Jeans: Old Navy // Handbag: Vera Bradley--under $35 // Necklace: J. Crew Factory (same color scheme) // Sandals: Gianni Bini (almost identical; wedge version) // Watch: Kate Spade (gold metal band version on sale for 36% off; almost identical) // Cuffs: Loren Hope; J. Crew Factory--under $10 w/ code GOLDMINE // Earrings: Sugarfix by Baublebar at Target // Sunnies: Quay--only $50!
For spring florals, I'm adoring large prints on soft backgrounds. This tee (search Blaine Tee) has the perfect contrast between the bold florals and pastel pink background. It's a knotted tee, which is the latest tee trend. Size up one size for a more oversized fit. It's so soft and under $30, and if you've never purchased from Gray Monroe before, you can sign up for a 20% off coupon code!
The jeans I'm wearing are my new favorite jeans and they're super cheap! They hit at the ankle, which is perfect for the latest sandal styles, and have some stretch to them. I think that they are such a flattering fit. I picked them up this weekend because I was on the hunt for a lighter-colored pair of jeans. And you cannot beat the price!
Finally, I kept the accessories in more neutral tones with my necklace and $10 earrings. Then I grabbed my new Vera Bradley satchel to add some punch and pull out the greens in the top. I highly recommend this bag--it's under $35, will fit a 12" Macbook, and doubles as a crossbody!!!
